Are you someone who often wants to grab a sweet treat after dinner? Or maybe even post lunch – especially when that 2:00 slump feeling starts to creep your way. We’ve got a simple swap to provide you a sweet treat.

We decided to outsmart the system and come up with a healthy treat that satisfies the sugar craving our body often has after eating something sugary.

Here’s what we came up with:

You’ll need: Oranges, Sea Salt, Nutmeg and Bodacious Olive Key Lime White Balsamic VinegarĀ 

Prep time: 15 Minutes

Bake Time: 35 Minutes

Cool Time: Up to one hour

Though ours came out a little crispy, they tasted delicious.

  • We first cut up oranges into eighths. You can use as many oranges as you’d like – above is about 3/4 of one regular sized orange.
  • Next, we salted the oranges with traditional sea salt.
  • Lastly, we covered the oranges with key lime balsamic vinegar and added a touch of nutmeg and baked on 370 for 40 minutes.
  • The result was a chewy delicious ‘candy’ like version of our favorite fruit snack.
